With the temps heating up this summer, it's not really likely that I'll be spending time in my kitchen, making No Knead Bread. (Especially with a heat wave starting today with high 80's in the forecast! (I shouldn't be complaining, as it's going to be 117 in Vegas today!)
With that said, Portland Perks is offering a 50% off deal with Orowheat Bakery Outlets. The deal is, you can get $10 worth of bread products (which includes loaves, buns, bagels, donuts, etc.) for just $5! That's like half the guilt when you accidentally leave the $4 sourdough bread on the counter (above the dishwasher while it's going), and discover a mold spot on a slice the next day!
(Keep in mind, that you will have to use each voucher in its entirety during one visit, as they do not offer change back. But how hard will that be, when there's butterhorns and all that other stuff, there? But on the bright side, you don't have to use it the same day you get it-- it's good for an entire year!)
There's a few Orowheat locations in the area. There's one next to the Gresham Craft Warehouse in Gresham (that shopping plaza across the street from Gresham station). Another one in Lake Oswego at 17364 Boones Ferry Road. Along with others located in Salem, Albany, Eugene and Beaverton.
Not a bad deal at all!
