Deals So Far Sunday 10/16/11

Today's shopping was a little bit of a bust.  I read on a major couponing blog, that if you went to Walgreens and purchased an 18-pack of store brand maxi pads, for $2, you would get a $2 Register Reward back for your next purchase.  Thus, making them FREE.

The manager guy was awesome.  I discussed this extreme couponing thing I wanted to do, and he was like "oh gurl"  (So fun! ;)  He too, wondered if I could get it for free, as it wasn't ringing up that way, so on a mic, he called "price check on Walgreens Maxi Pads..."  Thankfully, he laughed and told me that I was the only customer in the store.  But alas, that deal didn't work.  And not only that, I was told that their store offered points and not reward bucks that I needed.

So with that, this is what I ended up getting this deal instead:

2 Gillette 16 oz. Body Washes (Buy one get one 50% off) along with 2 $2 off Gillette coupons from last Sunday's paper.
2 Marshmallow Peeps (On sale-- 2 for $1)  (Coupon for .50 off can be found at http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=yjpmffx45763399&bt=vi&o=93780&pt=&lang=&ws=&ct=&ci=&cl=&cp=&eb=1&c=JB&p=0e505cf3-19b9-c365-2131ddb19b20af1c&z=&r=&pc=&tc=

And for those 4 things, I paid $3.23

After the couponing site mishaps with some other items, I also got this deal over there:

2 Therma Care Heat things...  (2ct-- because that's all that store carried)
(Use 2 $3 off Thermacare coupons found at:  https://thermacare.wyethcoupons.com/pages/1 and then the $1 off in-store coupon that can be found in the October savings booklet at the entrance of Walgreens)

And where they would be $13.98 without the coupons, they rung up as $4.23

(But don't forget to use your Walgreens Card!)

Next on my list, is Albertson's.  I was there this morning, and kind of mucked my plan of getting out of there with a few freebies.  (I just got the Free Dr. Pepper 10 with the coupon found in the Sunday's before last's paper.)  I saw a deal for some crackers, and as I said, I looked high and low, because according to the one site I was on, use two coupons and a doubler, and they'd come out free.  No such luck.  And then (thinking I could save some more money), decided to use the $1.10 off from Pillsbury cookie dough, that came from the website.  "Sorry.  We can't double anything over $1."  So I was holding up the line, looking for that other stupid coupon, before having to take it back, where I'll have to print out another one, and take it in for the deal.  ($2.49 for one.  Use the $1 off of two and the doubler, and you pay $1.49 each.)  (That one can be found at:  http://www.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=MKRU3JAAR6CCY )

Also, there is a great deal going on for Sea Pak frozen fish products.  If you still have access to last week's Food Day, snag the $5 off coupon for the buy 1 20 oz. Popcorn Shrimp and get $5 off the Popcorn Fish. (And save even more, if you can find the $1 off of two Sea Pak products coupon!)  At Walmart, you can get this deal, and pay something like $5 and some change for $11 worth of product.

Email me any deals that you've come across, so that I can post them up on here!
