Pumpkin Patch Discounts

It's going on 2am, and I thought that I'd jot down a quick rundown of some Halloween haunts on the cheap.  After all-- it's going to be 70° later on, and best to make it out to the pumpkin patch while it's dry, than to destroy your newly-detailed interior with Spongebob/Hello Kitty rubber boot mudprints all over the backs of your carseats!

Have you tried Portland Perks? http://www.getmyperks.com/publishers/entercom-portland/shopping_mall

Right now, they are offering the following:

  • $6 (50% off) entrance to Hoffman's Haunted Barn (Fridays and Saturdays only 7-11pm in Canby).  Rootsofallevil.com voted this to be #1 on their list.  Taking 20 minutes to walk through, they claim that there is a lot of gore, so perhaps not bring the little ones or faint of heart (like me, as I am known to scream on the kiddie roller coaster at Oaks Park!)
  • $7 (reg. $15) VIP pass (which means you can avoid the lines) at the Nightmare Factory (Weekdays 7-11pm and weekdays 7-11pm in Salem.)  8,000 sq feet of newly rethemed horror.  Fog, coffins, Wheel Chair of Doom, zombies, and a contortionist.  A contortionist?  Right there, I'm scared already!
  • $6.50 (reg. $13) for Portland's newest haunted house, The House of ShadowsValid when open Oct 28 & 29 7-11pm, Oct 30 & 31 7p-10pm.  More zombies and freaks on the loose!
  • $10 (reg $20)  Hysteria City (Open these days in October: the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th & 31st)  Touting to be Oregon's largest haunted house (40,000sq ft.  Well, I guess so!) this haunted house is located in Springfield, and says that 10,000 people all over the west travel over there, to check this thing out!
  • $7.50 (from $15) 13th Door Haunted House (Valid Monday through Thursday 7p-10p -No one under 13 without adult)  Probably a little milder than the beforementioned, as it has a "PG-13" rating.  13,000sq feet of horror await in Beaverton.
And then, for the kids and those who just want to get through their Halloween with happy memories rather than post-traumatic stress disorder, there are discounts on the pumpkin patches~

  • $4 (reg. $8)  Fazio Farm Corn Maze  (Admission.  Not valid for other attractions.  Expires 11/1/2011)  Hayland, pony rides, petting zoo, slides, crafts and food on this family-owned (since 1919) 6.5acre farm, located in Portland.
  • $7 (reg. $14) and 10% off at The Maize at the Pumpkin Patch Market on Sauvies Island Open any day of the week, through October 31st  Portland, original corn maze is built into a 5-acre cornfield of 12-foot stalks.  Visit the market for a cornucopia of autumn fruits and vegetables!
  • $7.50 (reg. $15)  The Portland Pumpkin Farm and Twilight Maze  Also on Sauvies Island, for $7.50, you will receive a card, good for the following:  -Corn Maze $7
-Cow Train $3  -Face Painting $2  -Balloon Animals $1  -Bounce House $2  -Hay Rides FREE  -And More!!!
