If Shopping Is Supposed To Relax You, Then Why The Hell Am I Coming Home Stressed?

I've been doing this couponing thing for the past three Sundays.  I want to say that I love it.  After all, I now have a binder filled with baseball card holders, holding coupons from everything from Metamucil (inside joke) to Pillsbury Crescent Rolls!  However, lately, I'm not too sure.  Don't get me wrong.  I want to save money.  It's just how do you do it, when either the shelves are empty, or couponing blogging sites tell you about the deals, but when you get to the store, you find out that the store they were talking about, is related to another region (in another state), and you've just realized that you wasted a quarter tank of gas and three hours, running around from store-to-store?

(I just got back from doing just that, so mind you-- I'm not too concerned with the punctuation and run-on sentencing structure here!  It sucks, going into an Albertson's and spending 15 minutes like an idiot, going up and down the same aisle, trying to find two boxes of something called Lanz Cracker Creations-- that you can get for free with the coupon, only to find out that they don't even carry them at that location!)

So I thought of a genius idea on the way home-- start a site up for people who live here in Oregon!  That way, we can all interconnect on here (and Facebook), giving each other the heads up on how many are still available where, what's a good deal-- what's not, savings for restaurants, stores, etc. going on in your town, product reviews, and tips and hints for things like those Catalinas I keep hearing about.  I mean, of course you can go to the seminars, but if couponing is supposed to save you money, then do these people holding them, offer one, so I don't have to pay all that money to probably hear half the stuff I already know (and can find out for free) if all of us just put our tips down on a forum like this?

With that said~  Start posting some stuff so we can all come home with some awesome deals like everyone else does, instead of coming home fed up and empty handed!!!
