Target Kitchen Clearance Sale!

For a few weeks, I've been searching for a more attractive piece to put on the counter to store coffee in, than just the plastic container itself, that my husband leaves in the corner of the counter.  I've been to Walmart, where I saw some cute bronzed canisters (claiming to have tight-fitting lids), however, when I saw them in person, they were dented, and the lids were very loose.

I have though, passed a ceramic cookie jar many times at Target.  Despite it's tightly-sealed lid, I kind of passed it up, because for $20, it wasn't really what I wanted to pay for something I didn't really want.

But today, I saw it on clearance for just $4.98! (And with the 5% off you can save with their credit card-- or their Red Debit Card, it comes down to $4.74.  A quarter-- but that's a quarter you can give your child when they see those ball machines at Old Navy!)

So of course, I bought it.  For that amount, you can monkey around with it, and buy some Rustoleum bronze spray paint, like the tutorial shows, below.

http://krista-artista.blogspot.com/2011/10/spray-painted-canisters.html

Just an idea!

General Mills Cereal At Safeway

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Whole Wheat & Rice Cereal, 21.25 ozTrix Cereal, 14.8 ozCheerios Toasted Whole Grain Oat Cereal, 14 oz

Cereal is like ice cream-- for some reason; it costs more for those companies to make the packaging smaller!

It seems that the really good deals come in the form of apple or fruit flavored rings in a giant box at Walmart for $3.50.  (Or, the big box of flavored shredded wheat, that sells for $3.48!)

Safeway tends to be on the spendy side, but they are known to have deals now and then.

Currently in their ad, they have the smaller boxes of Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Cheerios, going for $1.99 each.  (I could have sworn that they had them going for $1.88 a few months ago.)  Nonetheless, that is still a little more than I want to pay.  However, if you've been clipping your coupons these past couple of weeks, you'll notice that they have a $1 off coupon for 2, which would bring those boxes down to $1.50 each.  Not too bad, when you think any lower, and you would find these at a dollar store.

Yankee Deal-- 4 For 2 Coupon

For those of you who are looking for gifts for those who may mean a little more than a free Venus gift basket (as mentioned before), you might want to head over and print out Yankee Candle's lateste coupon.  http://www.yankeecandle.com/assets/email/oct25_1/coupon_Q4B2G2.html

Through November 27th, when you purchase two of their tumbler candles (which retail around $25), you will receive two free.  That's $100 worth for half off.

This offer excludes the candles sold at Target, outlet stores, and any fund-raising group that sells Yankee candle.  But with the 4 for 2 deal, it might alleviate a little of the shopping stress, to where you won't be burning the candle at both ends.

Ha, ha.

As posted with Old Navy's Halloween clearance going on, you might even be able to get a really great deal to go with these the day AFTER Halloween.  We're talking an actual KILLING on loads of stuff!

ALL FOR $1 EACH!

I probably got $100 worth of stuff last year, for just $10.

GASP!!! This always hits when i'm broke!

i've wanted a coach bag for a few years now.  it always seems though, that i've let other things get in the way-- like practicality.  ("you want to put your $400 purse in the grocery cart, where some baby probably sat a half hour before?")  (And then of course, I play the martyr, as I'm saving up for Christmas!)  But in the end, i keep seeing everyone with one, making me want one, too!

Coach outlets always have their bags marked down, however they are offering a 30% off coupon good through TOMORROW!  I just stumbled upon it today (the day after I gave up and bought a purse last night at Target).

http://www.coachfactory.com/store/default/view-coupon

Hopefully you guys though, can get in on the deal and check out your local outlet (Woodburn and Lincoln City), to see if they have anything priced pretty well.  Let me know if you do, so I can save up for the next time!

Start The Morning With A Starbucks From Safeway!

I've seen a deal going on with Safeway, where their in-ad coupon, lists Starbucks bottled coffee for $3.99.

It's true!

If you still have your coupons found from October 2nd, you can stack them on your purchase, and get an additional $2 off.  (Which, I no longer have, because I already used mine at Walgreens when they were 2 for $6.)

It's still a good deal though, for wives like me, who buy this stuff, and notice a half-full bottle of it left behind in the console overnight from the husband who promised he wouldn't go wasting it!

(Hey-- it get's expensive, you know?)

On top of this, buy two 4 pks (per transaction!), and you should be enjoying a Catalina print-out for a free Grande coffee at the Starbucks (given you have one inside the store).  That way, your getting up at the crack of dawn (to snag them, before they disappear off the shelves before noon) won't be in vain!

Soft Soap Steals!

Softsoap Body Wash, Ultra Rich Shea Butter, 18 fl oz

Safeway has their 18oz bodywash on sale for $3.99, down from their regular $4.99.  K-Mart's having a sale on them for buy 2 for $6.

What's better?

Grabbing the Soft Soap bodywash coupon in the Walgreens October coupon booklet (located near the entrance with the store ads), and snagging up 2 for just $4!

I checked the Colgate site to see if I could save even more, however, they don't have anything going on at this time.

Still, not too shabby for some decent bodywash!  Get it and stock up, as this sale ends on the Saturday!

HP Ink On Sale at Target Deal + $5 Gift Card

Single Cartridges Only-- black and color!

I noticed that there was a Target notice for single cartridge HP ink on sale.  So to avoid the hassle of going out to mine (in the Portland-metro area) only to once again come home empty-handed, I gave them a call.  Yes indeed, the ink is on sale here in Oregon.

And unlike Fred Meyers' 10% off any ink sale a week and a half ago (which admittedly, I participated in, thinking it was a good deal)-- you're going to get out like a bandit in this scenario!

Some (like the No. 61 I will be needing, as my light just went on), is on sale for $13.99.  Get the $5 gift card, and that's basically paying $8.99-- over 60% off!  On top of that, if you are fortunate enough to have received a $2 off Catalina from a Target purchase recently, that will bring it to $6.99-- which would be 70%!  And this beats the deal from buying double packs, because with the $5 you get back, you are saving $8 by purchasing two single packs!

And when you think of the holiday vacations the kiddos are going to have from school, there's lots of things you can do, like print coloring book pages, etc.  And of course for you~  MORE COUPONS!!!

Snag these up, because the sale ends this Sunday!

Holiday Dressing

No.  This isn't a recipe.  It's to let you know that The Children's Place (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/home_10001_10001_-1) is having their BIG HUGE SALE, promoting lots of discounts from 20-60% from their inventory (Including shoes, boots, outerwear, graphic shirts...  well-- basically clothes and shoes!)

A floral skirt that I thought was a good deal for $15-something last week (down from $19.95), is now on sale for $14.76, and so on.  (I'd get the price adjustment, but it would probably cost twice that in gas to go get it, lol!)

But this store (found in Gresham, Clackamas, Woodburn (at the outlet), Vancouver, and the Lloyd Center), offers sweet clothes for the little ones, and a great sale to keep in mind with the holidays coming up just around the corner!

M&M Deals

M&m - White Chocolate Candy Corn 9.9 Ounce Pack M&m's Candy Corn
Has anyone seen these ones in stores?

M&M's has a $1.50 off coupon that can be applied to multiple stores who are having sales on their candy.  This coupon can be found at~

http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=yjrcdyz55277575&bt=vi&o=91970&pt=&lang=&ws=&ct=&ci=&cl=&cp=&eb=&c=MA&p=13189303784213m87&z=&r=&pc=&tc=

I took advantage of this a couple weeks ago, thinking I could make cookies with my 5-year old.  Unfortunately, there's a half-eaten bag left in a desk drawer, which makes me such a bad mother right now, as I think of this!  (No worries though.  There's still some pretzel ones that will keep way after Halloween!)

Anyways, I printed out my maximum (which I think was two coupons).  Fred Meyers and Rite Aid has them advertised at 2 for $5 (reg. $2.99 each).  That, with the coupon, brings the two bags down to just $3.50.  K-Mart has something going on in their ad with Buy 2 Get 1 Free, but they don't list a price.  Sadly, Walgreens had the best price over a week ago, when they were advertising them for 2 for $4, plus the $1.50 coupon, plus the $1 off of two which brought it down to something like $1.50.  But surely, these things will go on sale as Halloween passes, where you'll be able to get some good deals on these things (and others), that could be put away for birthdays, baking, etc.

And on that note, I am going to go to bed!  Make sure you guys post your findings on here as well, as this site can't get big without your help!

Thanks!

Pumpkin Patch Discounts

It's going on 2am, and I thought that I'd jot down a quick rundown of some Halloween haunts on the cheap.  After all-- it's going to be 70° later on, and best to make it out to the pumpkin patch while it's dry, than to destroy your newly-detailed interior with Spongebob/Hello Kitty rubber boot mudprints all over the backs of your carseats!

Have you tried Portland Perks? http://www.getmyperks.com/publishers/entercom-portland/shopping_mall

Right now, they are offering the following:

  • $7 (reg. $15) VIP pass (which means you can avoid the lines) at the Nightmare Factory (Weekdays 7-11pm and weekdays 7-11pm in Salem.)  8,000 sq feet of newly rethemed horror.  Fog, coffins, Wheel Chair of Doom, zombies, and a contortionist.  A contortionist?  Right there, I'm scared already!
  • $6.50 (reg. $13) for Portland's newest haunted house, The House of ShadowsValid when open Oct 28 & 29 7-11pm, Oct 30 & 31 7p-10pm.  More zombies and freaks on the loose!

  • $7.50 (from $15) 13th Door Haunted House (Valid Monday through Thursday 7p-10p -No one under 13 without adult)  Probably a little milder than the beforementioned, as it has a "PG-13" rating.  13,000sq feet of horror await in Beaverton.
And then, for the kids and those who just want to get through their Halloween with happy memories rather than post-traumatic stress disorder, there are discounts on the pumpkin patches~

  • $4 (reg. $8)  Fazio Farm Corn Maze  (Admission.  Not valid for other attractions.  Expires 11/1/2011)  Hayland, pony rides, petting zoo, slides, crafts and food on this family-owned (since 1919) 6.5acre farm, located in Portland.

$1 off 2 Boxes of Pop Tarts

Kellogg's® Pop-Tarts® Spookylicious Frosted Chocolate Fudge toaster pastries Limited Edition

I was looking on my Facebook, trying to get some heads ups on some good deals.  And then I saw one's posting on Pop Tarts.  Something like using your $1 off 2 packages coupon at Safeway will make them out to be .99 cents each at Safeway.

I looked online at my Safeway.  They're $1.99.  That's not really a deal.

And that's what I mean, about this site.  I need some eyes to jot some here and there's down here, so that others can get on this site, write it down on their shopping list, and know exactly what's going on, rather than getting to the store, and finding out something different.

Anyways, here is the link to the Pop Tarts coupon:  http://www.couponnetwork.com/printable-coupons

You could probably find a better deal at Winco.  Or, you could always save it, and apply it during a sale, when you could use a double coupon (or rewards/points-somewhere-else) later on.

$2 Off Burt's Bees Coupon

Burt's Bees

If you go on to Burt's Bees, you can get a $2 off any Sensitive Skin Care Product.  https://www.facebook.com/burtsbees?sk=app_137656902971961  Just click 'like' and a window will post up, linking your recent like to your Facebook page.  (This site will allow you to go back and click a 2nd coupon.)

Stack this coupon(s) with a Target store coupon(s) (found at scrolling through the store's coupon site:  http://coupons.target.com/ ), and you can get $4 off from a $9.99 cleanser at Target.

(And being that Walmart price matches, you might be able to stack those and take them there, where you can possibly get their more expensive products for even cheaper!)

Tide $2 Off Coupons

Go to Tide's Facebook page, and click 'like'~  https://www.facebook.com/Tide?sk=app_297484350278480  Hurry up and do it NOW, because they are only giving out 35,000 of them.

From there, they will ask for your mailing information, where after you fill that out, they will give you notification that they will send a $2 off coupon out to you within the next 4-6 weeks.

My personal review?  What the hell?  It's not like they're sending out $10 off ones, which would then make this deal seem like gold or something!  Oh well...
